chris lawhorn "fugazi edits"

(chrislawhorn.com) By creating short, powerful, groovy songs by sampling snippets of every Fugazi tune ever Lawhorn has made some great music. But he has not done much of a magic trick, as these dance and experimental tracks really emphasize how driving, and funky, and challenging, and solid Fugazi's songs already are, rather than transforming anything. That said, this is the best "new" Fagazi reocrd you're going to hear these days,  and if you've never heard Fugazi before, then this, perversely, this is a great introduction, even if it doesn't really sound like the band.
