(Fantagraphics) Dumf. While Sacco’s deservedly revered
journalistic comics are pointedly political, this foray into deviant political
social satire is narratively sound but the ideas, humor, and critiques land
with thuds as obvious targets, obviously provocative imagery, and obviously not
funniness is obviously not up to the artist’s standards.
