Go Time “Tight Like Wood”

(SoundGypsy) A leap forward for these veteran -- what was once simply classic Midwestern power pop with a psyche edge has somehow found its way to menacing garage rock (a reverse evolution --- they are maturing into surly teenagers). Sometimes sounding like a ready-to-rumble REM, sometimes remending me of early Drivn n Cryin (both due to Scott Niekelski’s vocal style), Go Time is now far more than just a solid bar band – they are one of the best sounding local acts in Chicagoland.
