Autistic Youth “Idle Minds”

(Dirtnap) Every punk band...from Reagan Youth to Youth Brigade, to the giant toothbrush-yielding ("Youthbrush," actually) Crucial Youth --  that ever used "Youth" in their name was awesome. And "Autistic" is an equally awesome qualifier, if only because when the band goes "unplugged" they can bill themselves as "Acoustic Youth." So these cats are standing on 3rd with  a big lead before they even play a note. So it's a nice surprise to hear how perfectly they capture the upbeat strains of 80s hardcore in both tone and execution. I love hardcore bass playing and this band really has those kind of corny yet frenzy inducing basslines down. To quote Fonzie...AY!
