Sixtyniners "too drunk to truck"
(Voodoo Rhythm) The best American country truckin' folk hillbilly record of the year, and it's by a damn Amsterdamian and someone from somewhere named "Groningen!" Well if this is how they roll there, I'm goin' again to Groningen! Their originals hold up next to traditionals and a George Jones number, and Michiel's fake twang is no faker than half the guys a Rockabilly Night (sorry Jimmy). And the title tune is my fave truck song since Dave Dudley took his final ride. Sixtyniners, dude!

In a similar vein, I recently came across an old blues number titled "Let's Get Drunk And Truck" by LIL JOHNSON. Is it the long-distance hauling that leads to drinking or vice-versa?
